movie news: First trailer for Wes Anderson’s The Grand Budapest Hotel

Whenever I’m asked, which is all the time – unsurprisingly I suppose, I tell people that my favourite film is The Royal Tenenbaums. Because it is, I’m not a liar or anything.

This being the case, Wes Anderson is one of, if not my favourite, director. I think you might know where I’m going with this… but I’ll say it anyway. I am very much looking forward to The Grand Budapest Hotel. I didn’t actually know what it was about till I went to copy and paste the summary from IMDb right now but that doesn’t matter at all. I will definitely be seeing this.

At this stage I suppose you know if you like Wes Anderson’s film or not, so I’m not going to say you must see it… but if you’re on the fence, check out the cast – Ralph Fiennes, Ed Norton, Willem Defoe, Saoirse Ronan, Jude Law, Adrien Brody, Tilda Swinton, Tom Wilkinson, Harvey Keitel, Jeff Goldblum and old regulars Owen Wilson, Bill Murray and Jason Schwartzman. Everyone wants to be in a Wes Anderson film.

Here’s the summary,

The adventures of Gustave H, a legendary concierge at a famous European hotel between the wars, and Zero Moustafa, the lobby boy who becomes his most trusted friend.

And here’s the trailer.

The Grand Budapest Hotel is set to release sometime in 2014
