clips & trailers: Final trailer released for Spectre

The build up to Daniel Craig’s (possibly) last Bond film has immense and today they’ve given us one last teaser for Spectre. They’ve all been strong so far and this one is no different. I still don’t know exactly what’s going on and that’s the way I like my trailers. Faintly obtuse.

Well, I like them wholly obtuse actually but obviously we can’t have that for the biggest film for the year. Not everyone likes to be confused going to the cinema.

One thing I’ve been consistently impressed with is that – despite Roger Deakins jumping ship for Sicario – it looks like they’re maintaining the strong look and feel of Skyfall (review).

In the hot seat for this outing is Dutch/Swedish cinematographer Hoyte Van Hoytema who’s done some great work on Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Intersteller and, of course, the original Let The Right One In.
