movie trailer news: Inception (2010)

Wandering around the internet today and found a trailer for Christopher Nolan‘s new film Inception. I didn’t even know he was working on a new film! Gotta get my act together now that I’m not just writing reviews any more…

As you may be aware, Christopher Nolan is probably best known as the director of Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. Decent films, I don’t think I liked them as much as everyone else seems to have, but I did love Memento and I thought The Prestige was pretty interesting so I’m game to see what Mr. Nolan is up to next…

Watching the Inception trailer, the first thing that stands out is that I can’t help but be reminded of the 1998 classic (well, classic in my mind anyway) – Dark City. Not a bad thing at all. The second thing is that I have absolutely no idea what it’s about. That’s not a bad thing either. So all in all, for me, this is a brilliant trailer! Looks cool, tells me nothing about the film and leaves me wanting to see it. Success!

I’m not entirely sure of the release date for Ireland yet but it’s due for release in the US on July 16th 2010 so I suspect it’ll be in Ireland either late July or early August.
