Been wondering what Brad Pitt’s been up to since 12 Years A Slave? Well you’re about to find out.

It’s April 1945. The Allies are making their final push in Europe. Sergeant Wardaddy (Pitt) is commanding a Sherman tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Outnumbered and outgunned, and with a rookie soldier thrust into their platoon, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany.

Fury is the latest film from writer / director David Ayer, who you may remember wrote Denzel Washington’s Training Day, as well as directing the under-rated End of Watch from 2012 and Sabotage earlier this year. I think he’s a pretty exciting director really. While End of Watch and Sabotage were a little rough around the edges, they were classy. I definitely recommend a look.

Ok, Sabotage got a bit crazy but it was definitely fun.

The cast list for Fury is definitely inpressive. Led by Brad Pitt, Ayer has drafted Shia LeBeouf, Logan Lerman, Michael Peña and Jon Bernthal along for the ride.

I have to be honest, I’m pretty excited for Fury. Brad Pitt usually makes solid choices, (let’s not talk about The Counselor), I loved Logan Lerman in The Perks of Being a Wallflower and well, Shia LeBeouf is definitely an interesting character…

Check out the trailer below. I think you’ll be excited too…

Fury is in UK and Irish cinemas from 22nd October 2014.
