clips and trailers: Footloose (2011) – exclusive clip!

Well you gotta cut loose, FOOTLOOSE!

That’s actually the sum total of what I know about Footloose, I’ve never seen the original and up until about 2 months ago I didn’t even know it was set in a town that banned dancing. I’d heard reference to the idea before in shows like The Simpsons or Family Guy but I had always assumed it was like, a joke plot or something.

More fool me hey?

I can only assume from the longevity of the film that the original is quite the classic and thus is more a real film, with a story and all, unlike say… Honey 2 – which I still loved btw. Randomly, it’s directed by the guy who made Black Snake Moan and Hustle & Flow. I haven’t seen either but I know they are well regarded and while he might seem a bit of a strange choice, it does stack up that this will be a good film rather than just a good dance film.

If not though, I do love a good song & dance movie – so without further ado, here are some clips and trailers of… tah dah dah daaa! Footloose!
